Film

As part of my studies, I created this film which explores themes of grief, acceptance and living on through memories.

It visualizes a phone call to my grandmother, where I share what has happened over the course of a year, how my family and I are doing, and the burdens we’ve faced.

The conversation is in Russian, as that was the language I primarily spoke with her.

This short film was created during my exchange semester at the BCIT in Vancouver.
The objective was to create a film without dialogue, focusing on visual storytelling and sound design.

I chose to portray a young woman looking back on a past relationship, coming to terms with the absence of someone who once meant a great deal to her.
